Elin Gidloef is an Associate Programme Officer at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) focusing on Human Rights and the Environment. She supports regional activities under the Environmental Governance sub-program in Asia and the Pacific, including developing and implementing environmental rule of law and related technical and institutional capacities to address internationally agreed environmental goals.
Elin has extensive experience of working with human rights-based approach and the human rights, gender, and environment nexus from the Swedish government and civil society as well as international field experience attained in Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Kenya, and Romania. She has a Master’s degree in Human Rights and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and a Minor in International Relations from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
